The Lakers kicked off league play with a 2-0 win at Farmington tonight. The Lakers first goal in the first half was scored by Jake Ward with an assist from Will Brophy. The Lakers would add a second goal from Kouya Takeshita in the second half after Faris Sharba made a great run and crossed the ball inside the box for the assist. Faris would also make a huge goal line save as well. Elijah Burlak earned the shut out on the night by saving a penalty late in the game and coming up big on another late break away. The Lakers are now 1-0 in the league and 2-0-2 on the season and travel to Clarkston on Thursday for a non league match.
