The West Bloomfield Middle School Wrestling Team traveled to Lakeland High School on Saturday, February 21st, for their first tournament of the season...the Brandon Calma Classic. After a long day of wrestling, with up to 4 matches each against some of the best schools in Oakland County, the Lakers proved that they are a force to be reckoned with! Out of the 34 WB wrestlers that competed, 21 of them took home 1st-3rd place honors! WB claimed 7 Champions, 6 Runner-Ups, and 8 Bronze! Our WB place winners include: 1st Place- Andrew Canty III, Justin McKinney Jr., Brandon Smith, Roman Garcia, Max Alban, Zaiden Dinkins, and Jayden Allen 2nd Place- Brandon Stokes, Becket Hitchcock, Nicholas Andric, Sam Mack, Matthias Hitchcock, and Jeremiah Evans 3rd Place- Cassius Thomason, Logan DeGrand, Sebastian Morandini, Elijah Cannon, Tristen Bass, Jace Vining, Mason Williams, and Caelum Lopez Honorable Mention (.500 record)- Joseph Goidosik, Henrick Lindberg, and Nicholas Zelda The Lakers host Derby Middle School this Wednesday (2/25) for their first home dual meet of the season!
