JV Boys Lacrosse Earns First Win of the Season with Dominant Road Victory

The West Bloomfield High School Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse team secured their first win of the season in impressive fashion, defeating Troy Athens High School 16–4 on the road. The Lakers came out strong in the opening quarter, led by an explosive performance from Alex Pomeroy. Pomeroy recorded a natural hat trick early and went on to finish the game with a remarkable five goals, setting the tone for West Bloomfield’s high-powered offense. Additional scoring contributions came from Luke Render, Gavin Anderson, Aidan Snead, Andrew Dean, and Jack Jozwick, showcasing the team’s depth and balanced attack. In net, freshman Everett Garrett continued his strong start to the season, earning his second victory with a solid performance between the pipes. At the faceoff X, De’Andre Jude played a key role in gaining possession, supported by freshman Nico Papillo, helping the Lakers maintain momentum throughout the game. Defensively, Dymetro Sheptak and Jacob Barbour anchored a disciplined unit that limited Troy Athens’ scoring opportunities and contributed to the team’s overall dominance. Coach Banicki said, "Coaching both teams today and up to this point has been an absolute blast. I look forward to continuing to build with this talented group of student-athletes". With the win, West Bloomfield JV Lacrosse builds confidence and momentum as they continue their season.
