Once again it was another battle with division 1 opponent , Grosse Pointe North. For the second year in a row, GPN bested the Lady Lakers with a 4 goal victory. The first quarter was in favor of the Lakers 4-2 and the back and forth battle continued until GPN pulled away about halfway through the 4th quarter. Senior Bryn Cusack opened the scoring and topped the scoresheet with 4 goals, followed by seniors Carson Semanson, Julia Amato, and Hannah Grubbs with one goal each. The defensive players of the game are senior Meadow Faraci and junior Layla Sharif. Faraci led the team in caused turnovers with 4 , Sharif led the team while splitting some time at midfield with 5 ground balls. Junior goalie , Layla Kalanquin also had 3 ground balls , and posted a save percentage for the night at 45% and overall 60% for the season thus far. The Lakers open up OAA league play against Waterford at home after spring break on April 8.
