Boys Varsity Lacrosse Earns First Win of the Season 15-5

The West Bloomfield Lakers Boys Varsity Lacrosse team secured their first victory of the 2026 season in commanding fashion, defeating the Swartz Creek Dragons 15–5 on a beautiful spring evening. Coming off a tough home opener loss, the Lakers responded with intensity and purpose, setting the tone early with physical, high-energy play that carried through all four quarters. The team’s relentless effort and focus proved to be the difference, as they never let up en route to a decisive win. Offensively, the Lakers showcased a balanced and explosive attack, finding the back of the net 15 times. Kyle Geiser led the charge with an impressive 5 goals, while Aidan Moran recorded a hat trick. Alex Pomeroy contributed 2 goals, continuing his strong start to the season. Additional scoring came from Gavin Anderson, Drew Dean, Aidan Snead, and Yousef Mohammed, each adding at least one goal to round out the team effort. The Lakers’ hustle was equally evident in the ground ball game, with 16 different players recording at least one ground ball. Zach Boisvenu led all players with 7 ground balls, followed closely by attackman Alex Pomeroy, who collected 6. Fueled by determination after their season opener, the Lakers played with an edge, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to improvement. The victory marks a strong step forward as the team continues to build momentum early in the season. With confidence growing and contributions coming from across the roster, the Lakers look ahead to their next matchup with energy and optimism.
