West Bloomfield opened the season with a tough matchup on the road against Seaholm, falling 17–0 in Game 1. Anna Bilkey started in the circle for the Lakers and battled through a challenging outing against an experienced lineup. The team worked to find its rhythm defensively while facing early pressure from Seaholm. Offensively, opportunities were limited, but Joy Jones recorded a hit to lead West Bloomfield at the plate. Despite the result, the Lakers continued to compete throughout and gained valuable early-season experience. The team will look to build on that effort and make adjustments moving forward.
