The Girls JV Tennis team put up a tough fight against North Farmington High School, but they unfortunately came up one win short as they lost their home opener 7-6. More than half of the players on the team have never played tennis before so this was quite an accomplishment. Many of the matches went to third set super tiebreakers that were extremely close and quite intense. The team's match lasted nearly 4 hours!! Big winners today were: Maya Theobald & Saniya Pokle 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 Winnie Washington & Kamora Gray 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 10-8 Mikayla Yatooma & Madison Jackson 8-0 Tiana Djokic & Mariah Mack 8-2 Fiona Mikha & Adriana Al Bazi 8-7 (10-8) Players that put up a very strong fight going to 3rd set 10 point supertiebreakers were: Colette Clarke & Diya Sheth 6-4, 3-6, 3-10 Anayna Gupte & Megan Russell 1-6, 6-3, 8-10 The next scheduled match is on Friday 4/10 at 3:45pm at WBHS.
