West Bloomfield hosted Groves on Friday, falling 20–0 in front of a fan-packed home opener. Despite the result, the Lakers continued to show growth defensively, once again playing a clean game without committing an error. The team handled multiple chances in the field with improved focus and consistency. Offensively, Joy Jones and Nevaeh Nieradka each recorded a hit for West Bloomfield. Jaelynn Randolph got the start in the circle and competed against a patient Groves lineup. West Bloomfield will look to build on its defensive progress and continue developing as the season moves forward.
