The West Bloomfield Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Runkle Field on Friday night for an out-of-conference matchup against Utica Ford High School, last year’s division champions. Facing a strong and experienced opponent, the Lakers competed hard throughout the match but ultimately fell 4–0. Despite the final score, the game remained highly competitive, with steady pressure and strong play on both sides of the field. West Bloomfield goalkeepers Tayln Rigney and Alexandria Peratsakis each delivered impressive performances in net, combining for numerous key saves and keeping the Lakers in contention against a high-powered offense. The Lakers continue to gain valuable experience against tough non-conference opponents and will look to build on their growth and resilience as the season progresses.
