The West Bloomfield High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse team hit the road for a competitive northern matchup, taking on Sault Ste. Marie followed by the Petoskey Northmen in a hard-fought doubleheader. In their opening game against a physical and sizeable Sault Ste. Marie squad, the Lakers battled from start to finish in a tightly contested matchup. Alex Pomeroy opened the scoring effort for West Bloomfield, finding the back of the net once in the first half. Kyle Geiser added two crucial goals in the second half to keep the Lakers within striking distance. Despite the team’s grit and determination, West Bloomfield narrowly fell 5–4 in a game that showcased their toughness and resilience against a formidable opponent.
