The lady laker varsity tennis team got their second win of the season with a 8-0 sweep of Oxford. Casey Fortsner got her first win by subbing into 4 doubles with Manya Goldstein. They can back in fantastic fashion to win in the super tiebreaker 3-6, 6-2, 10-8. 2 doubles of Sophia Zholob/Lila Costello also had a tough match but came away with the 7-6, 1-6, 10-5 win. Delaney Brager/ Sara Joyce won 6-3, 6-3 at 1 doubles and Sabrina Mathew/Eva Latvenas won 6-0, 6-2 at 3 doubles. Singles played solidly overall with all matches being won in 2 sets. Ariella Ferguson came Back from a 4-1 deficit to win 7-6, 6-2. Bella Kuzminsky and Puja Ravi both dropped only 3 games in a 6-2, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-3 respectively. Ellena Tomaj used her athleticism in route to a 6-2, 6-3 victory. They can back team is now 2-0 (1-0) and will play Lake Orion Tuesday at 4pm for their first home match.
