The Lady Lakers improved to 2-1 in OAA white division league play with a victory over Avondale Tuesday night, 15-2. The Lakers dominated the draw controls with senior captain, Hannah Grubbs leading the way with 5, as well as scoring 2 goals. Juniors Kiera Pratt (3), Sydney Denawetz(2), and Emma Schwart(2) led the scoring for the Lakers. Senior Bryn Cusack added to her team leading season total with 1 goal and added an assist. Seniors Carson Semanson and Amelie Burtka joined sophomores Piper Smith and Natalia Lech with all scoring one each. The defense had a solid night only allowing 6 shots on goal , junior goalie Layla Kalanquin stopped 3/4 shots faced and freshman Ryan Hill stopped 1/2 shots faced. The Lakers travel to Wixom St. Catharines on Friday before returning home and back to OAA league play vs. Royal Oak on Monday 4/20.
