The Royal Oak Ravens traveled to West Bloomfield Monday night finally getting revenge on the Lady Lakers after close victories by the Lakers the previous 2 seasons. The Royal Oak defense was too much to overcome , limiting the Lakers to their lowest goal total of the season. Senior Bryn Cusak scored for the Lakers along with junior Kiera Pratt. Sophomore Lexi Hughes led the team in scoring for the night with 2 goals as well as assisting on Pratt's goal towards the end of the game. Defensive player of the game was junior Layla Sharif, who led the team in ground ball controls. Junior goalie Layla Kalanquin had a solid game saving 9 of 22 shots faced, and is averaging over 50% save percentage on the season. The Lakers continue with league play on Wednesday night visiting Farmington, in what should be a close game after the Lakers overtime victory last season.
