West Bloomfield traveled back to Troy for the second game of the series against Athens, and the Laker hurlers were outstanding. Mason Ermis threw 6 innings, holding the Redhawks to 5 hits while allowing 2 runs and Finley Carter came into a bases loaded jam in the seventh to shut down a late inning rally and preserve the win to even the series at 1 game each, with a final of 3-2. Carter finished the game offensively, going 2-3 with an RBI, Connor Strong went 2-4 with 2 doubles and a run scored, Logan Scheidt was 1-3 with a key 2 run single and Jalen Morgan, Ermis, Bryce Tillman-Jones and Branislav Stojanovski each had a hit. The final game of the series is Thursday at home.
