Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Jeremiah Benson. Jeremiah competed in Football 4 Years, Track and Field 2 Years, Basketball 1 Year for the Lakers. He earned the following awards in football; Team MVP, First Team All- State, 2x First Team All-Region, First Team All-OAA, Captains Award, and Second Team All-OAA. His favorite memory was his sophomore year when we played Clarkston in the 2nd Round of the playoffs and we had to block the field goal to win the game. It was such a surreal experience! Jeremiah is currently attending the University of Minnesota, where he is continuing his athletic and academic journey. He will miss all the people at WBHS that shaped his experience and made him who he is today. He will also miss the life long bonds he created through the sports programs that will never be forgotten. Congratulations Jeremiah!! Go Lakers!!
