Varsity Softball Falls in Game 2 of Doubleheader 10-6

West Bloomfield Varsity Softball fell to Avondale, 10–6, in Game 2 of Thursday’s doubleheader. The Lakers struck first in the opening inning, capitalizing on early opportunities as Analizabeth Rodriguez reached after being hit by a pitch, Anna Bilkey drew a walk, and Brooke Mellors drove in a run. Avondale responded in the bottom half to even the score. West Bloomfield regained momentum in the second inning, highlighted by a two-run triple from Lili Rodriguez, followed by an RBI single to extend the lead to 6–3. However, Avondale answered with a decisive second inning, scoring seven runs to take control of the game. Jaelynn Randolph started in the circle for the Lakers, while Lili Rodriguez continued her strong day at the plate, driving in two runs. Rodriguez, Rodriguez, and Mya Porter each contributed hits as West Bloomfield totaled multiple offensive efforts, while also creating pressure on the basepaths with four stolen bases.
