Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Kyren Merriewether. Kyren played linebacker for 4 years in our football program. He was All OAA Second Team and had mentions from the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News. His favorite memory as a Laker was the team's 3rd win of his senior season. Seeing Coach Hilbers happy after a hard fought win was awesome. Kyren will attend Hope College in the Fall and continue his playing and academic career. He will miss the long practices after a long school day the most from his time at WBHS. Congratulations Kyren! Go Lakers!!
