Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Kate Mandel. Kate has played lacrosse for 3 years, and has played low attack each season. She is a positive role model and leader and was JV captain who was also awarded the Sportsmanship award 2025. One of her favorite memories was playing Cass Tech under the lights her junior season, it was competitive but really brought the team together. Kate plans to attend Western Michigan University to study Elementary Education. As she’s graduating WBHS, she will miss the community at her side and opportunities that were always available for her. Lacrosse will always have a special place in her heart. Congratulations Kate! Go Lakers!!!
