Curtis Britton IV, a senior Guard for West Bloomfield High School, will be signing to attend Oakland Community College. He plans on majoring in Business. Curtis has been playing basketball since the age of 3 years old and, ever since then, he has never put the ball down. He started with the Detroit Heat organization, then moved to the Michigan Playmakers. Curtis also competed in other small clubs such as chess and golf, but basketball was what made him feel whole. Curt’s career at West Bloomfield was a roller coaster, but despite the negative, he was a 4 year varsity starter and captain for 2 years. He was recognized for All region 2x and winning back to back league titles, and a district championship! “First, I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity to play the game I love. Secondly, I would like to thank my family and friends for helping me through this process. Both my pops, my moms, thank you all the most for making this all possible. All the long drives to tournaments, thank you. Coach Jordan, we never always saw eye to eye but we made it through and in the end you got what you well deserved, which was a district championship. None of this would’ve been possible without you. Coach Sid and Dus, all the extra hours you guys have spent with me was a big help for my development, in the gym after practice or dragging me to the weight room, was all definitely needed. Ms. Aimee, man oh man, thank you. If i wasn’t in practice I was definitely in your office for something. I appreciate everything, thank you. And, also, all the trainers, thank you as well, your work never went unnoticed! Lastly, my guys, all the bonds I have built through these four years, I loved them all. I wish my brothers nothing but the best in their futures. Wouldn’t have chosen any other group of guys to do this with. Thank you WB, but now it’s time for me to make my mark somewhere else... Go Owls!!”
