The Lady Lakers played a regional foe Monday afternoon against the Farmington Falcons. Both teams are vying for a second place finish to advance to the state finals tournament. Today’s match had seeding implications and the Lakers squeezed out a 5-3 victory. The doubles teams had a tough time, but the 2 doubles of Sophia Zholob and Lila Costello got the lone win with a 7-6 (1), 6-3 victory. The singles have been the strength of the team all year and it showed once again against Farmington. 1s- Ariella Ferguson 6-2, 6-1 2s- Ellena Tomaj 6-1, 6-0 3s- Bella Kuzminsky 6-0, 6-1 4s- Puja Ravi 7-5, 6-3.
