Royal Oak Varsity Ravens defeated West Bloomfield Varsity Lady Lakers 18–1 in Game 2 on Wednesday. West Bloomfield got on the board early in the first inning when Analizab eth Rodriguez drew a walk, bringing home the Lady Lakers’ lone run. Royal Oak responded quickly, putting up 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take control of the game. They added seven more runs in the second, using timely hitting and capitalizing on opportunities to extend their lead. Anna Bilkey started in the circle for West Bloomfield. Despite the tough result, the Lady Lakers showed patience at the plate and continued to compete throughout the game. West Bloomfield will look to regroup and carry forward lessons from the doubleheader into their next matchup versus Waterford Kettering.
