Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Julia Amato. Julia has played four years in our lacrosse program and a season with field hockey. She has played midfielder and attackman. A memory she loves is when the team went out to Wing Stop after their game against Rochester in her Junior year. It was a great bonding experience and the first time she had Wing Stop. Julia plans to attend Michigan Technological University majoring in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship Technology and Innovation. She plans on playing her viola in the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra and bringing MTU's women's lacrosse program back. She will miss her teammates the most. Our lacrosse team is one of the closest teams, where everyone knows each other personally and we have great memories together. We separate everything that happens on the field from how we treat each other, and we keep practices both fun and productive! She will definitely come back to visit the team and root them on in games next year. She has faith the team will continue to excel as a program. Congratulations Julia! Go Lakers!!
