Varsity Boys Lacrosse Falls to Waterford United 6-2

Waterford, MI — The West Bloomfield High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse team battled on the road against Waterford United but came up short in a 6-2 loss. Despite the final score, the Lakers showed resilience and effort throughout the contest. Drew Dean and Kyle Geiser each found the back of the net for West Bloomfield, accounting for the team’s two goals on the night. Offensive support came from Alex Pomeroy and Nick Voorhees, who each contributed an assist. On the defensive and possession side, the Lakers worked to stay competitive in ground ball battles. Jimmy Collins led the team with two ground balls, while Ian Hamann, Alex Pomeroy, Gavin Anderson, and goalkeeper Owen Dery each added one. Penalties played a role in the game’s flow, with West Bloomfield committing six on the night compared to just two by Waterford United, creating additional challenges for the Lakers’ defense. West Bloomfield continues to focus on building consistency and discipline as the season progresses and looks to bounce back in upcoming matchups.
