Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Lana Cheachirini. Lana played four years in our volleyball program, while also participating in a year of snowboarding and soccer. She was a volleyball captain and MVP and snowboarding captain and MVP. Her favorite memory from volleyball is all the laughs they shared during practice, especially when they would end up on the floor laughing together. In snowboarding, her favorite moment was winning her first race and seeing the shock on coach’s face; they didn’t realize how fast she was. For soccer, her favorite memory was scoring a goal as a defender. Lana plans to attend Michigan State University next Fall to study Marketing. She will miss being part of the team environment, the friendships she built and representing WBHS through athletics. Congratulations Lana! Go Lakers!!
