The West Bloomfield Girls Varsity Soccer team earned another hard-fought victory on Thursday evening, defeating Farmington 2–1 in a competitive matchup at home. The night was made even more special as the program celebrated Senior Night in honor of Sarina Khatchadourian, the Lakers’ lone senior, recognizing her leadership, dedication, and commitment to the program throughout her varsity career. The Lakers showed strong composure throughout the match, capitalizing on offensive opportunities while holding firm defensively to secure the win. Ellena Tomaj accounted for both goals for West Bloomfield. Her first came on a breakaway run starting near the 40-yard line, where she outran the defense and finished confidently. The second goal came off a beautiful connection from Noor Bamarhool to Tomaj, leading to another breakaway finish. Defensively, goalkeeper Tayln Rigney came up with several outstanding saves to help preserve the victory and keep momentum on West Bloomfield’s side late in the match.
