The varsity tennis girls team came up against the #6 Bloomfield Hills team on Monday afternoon. The team played tough but lost 8-0 to their regional rival. Two matches that should be noted were from the 2 singles and doubles matches. Lila Costello and Sophia Zholob crashed the net despite losing 6-2, 6-2. Ellena Tomaj had the best match of the day with a 6-2, 6-4 loss. The team is now 6-5-3 and will host regionals this Thursday. Come out and cheer your lakers to a third straight state championship appearance.
