Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Jamal Shakespear. Jamal has been dedicated to football, playing three years on varsity as both a defensive player and quarterback. During his time on the field, he was honored to earn Team MVP, an achievement that reflects the hard work, leadership, and commitment he brought to the game. One of his favorite memories was storming the field after the blocked field goal against Clarkston, a moment that showed the energy, brotherhood, and excitement of our team and school community. After graduation, Jamal will be attending The University of Findlay where he plans to major in Computer Systems and minor in Business Analytics. While he is excited for this next chapter, he will miss the friendships he built, the teachers who supported him, and especially the experience of playing under the Friday night lights. No matter where life takes him next, he’ll always carry those memories with me. Congratulations Jamal! Go Lakers!!
