West Bloomfield Varsity Lady Lakers dropped the second game of Thursday’s doubleheader to Athens, 15-0, at West Bloomfield High School. Athens broke the game open with an eight-run second inning and continued to apply pressure offensively throughout the contest. Anna Bilkey got the start in the circle for the Lakers on Senior Night, continuing her willingness to step into multiple roles for the team this season after transitioning from centerfield into pitching during the offseason. Despite the final score, the Lakers continued competing defensively and showed fight throughout the evening against a strong Athens lineup led by Kylie Zoll and Casey McCoy.
