The Lakers met up with Bloomfield Hills in the district final Saturday afternoon and there was no denying the good guys the trophy, winning 5-2. Senior co-captain Connor Strong wanted the ball against the Blackhawks and was lights out, allowing 2 runs in 5 1/3 innings, punching out 4 to earn the win. Mason Ermis came in to get the save, sitting down all 5 batters he faced, striking out 1. Finley Carter went 2-2 with a run scored and 2 RBI, Danny Owens was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI, Logan Scheidt finished 2-3 with an RBI single, Bryce Tillman-Jones went 2-4 with a run scored, Connor Smith was 1-4 with an RBI and Mason Ermis, Lewis Donaldson and Jalen Morgan each had a hit.
