The WBHS cross country team kicked-off the season at the Clawson Popsicle Invitational on Tuesday, August 25th. The meet was held at Clawson City Park and 9 schools participated. This meet gave everyone a chance to get back into racing mode, and yes popsicles were given to all finishers. The boys team placed 2nd overall and had 11 out of the 16 runners run a course pr (personal record). Musa Kay led the way with a 5th place finish. The girls team placed 4th overall, as all five girls who ran, ran their first ever 5k (3.1 miles). Ashleigh Hamby was the top finisher for the girls. Also competing were: Grace McDowell, Zofia Burtka, Hailey Sullivan and Lili Rodriguez. BOYS Bryan Tran: Bryan beat his course pr time by 2 minutes and 17 seconds.
