WBHS Cross Country Has Outstanding Day at Hanson's Invitational

09/26/26 | WBHS cross country has an outstanding day at the Hanson’s Invitational The WBHS cross country team ran at the Hanson’s Invitational on Saturday, September 26th @ Parkway Christian School. There were 26 schools that participated in the division 1 portion of the meet. The boys varsity team placed 8th overall. Leading the way for the Lakers were medalists (top 50 medal) Musa Kay (19th place), Graham Kubiak (41st) & Josue Martinez (49th). Overall boys highlights: 8th place team finish / 3 Medals / 10, 2 Mile Goal Times / 4 Season PR’s & 7 Career PR’s! The girls team placed 19th overall as a team. The top finisher for the Lakers was Ashleigh Hamby (60th place). Also running were: Monisola Fagbamila, Zofia Burtka, Grace McDowell, Hailey Sullivan, Lili Rodriguez and Annabelle Gohl. Overall highlights for the girls: 19th place team finish / 5, 2 Mile Goal Times / 6 Career PR’s! Your “Lakers of the Meet” are: BOYS Graham Kubiak: Graham placed 41st and medaled. He also ran a “NEW” career pr. Beating his previous career pr by 22 seconds. Michael Williams: Michael beat his 2 mile goal time and ran a “NEW” season and Hanson’s Invite course pr. Beating his previous season pr by 1 minute and 18 seconds. Tiffin Brenner: Tiffin beat his 2 mile goal time and ran a “NEW” season and Hanson’s Invite course pr. Beating his previous season pr by 59 seconds. GIRLS Ashleigh Hamby: Ashleigh beat her 2 mile goal time and ran a “NEW” career pr. Beating her previous career pr by 1 minute and 27 seconds. Lili Rodriguez: Lili beat her 2 mile goal time and ran a “NEW” career pr. Beating her previous career pr by 3 minutes and 36 seconds.
