Last night, West Bloomfield Girls Swim & Dive celebrated Senior Night with an exciting 104 to 71 victory over Detroit Country Day! It was a special evening as both teams honored their seniors and celebrated the hard work, dedication, and memories made throughout their swimming and diving careers. Congratulations to the seniors honored from Detroit Country Day: Quinn Norlander, Jill Heller, and Keely Corrigan, and from West Bloomfield: Jessica Conkey, Lucy Harmala, Winnie Washington, Ellison Mack, Keira Pratt, Amelia Roth, Zoie Johnson, and Logan Zdyrski. Both teams had great swims, strong performances, and plenty of fun throughout the meet! West Bloomfield also had an outstanding performance in diving, sweeping the top three places. Lucy Harmala took first with 188.25 points, Miriam William in 2nd with 126.25 points and Mia Gidcumb in 3rd with 108.30 points. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the meet a success, especially the parents and families who volunteered their time and supported both teams. Your help and dedication are greatly appreciated! With Senior Night behind them, the Lakers will now turn their focus to the League Championships, November 4th, 5th and 6th at Lake Orion High School.
